Making Australia’s Biggest Events Accessible to Everyone.

The Adelaide Fringe is back for 2026!

Big energy.
Big crowds.
Big performances.

And for the third year in a row, the SACARE Carers Lounge is returning to make sure the Adelaide Fringe is an experience everyone can enjoy in their own way.

The Carers Lounge Exists for One Simple Reason

To help make Australia’s events accessible to everyone, no matter their abilities.

We’ve created a calm, welcoming space where people can reset, regulate, and then head straight back into the festival feeling supported.

Inside the SACARE Carers Lounge, you’ll find:

Sensory Pod
Soft lighting, bubble tubes, and interactive screens designed to calm the nervous system and reduce sensory overload.

Changing Pod
A private, fully equipped space with a hoist and height-adjustable table. Designed for dignity, comfort, and ease.

Where and When

Location: Rymill Park, next to the O-Bahn Busway

Dates: February 20 to March 22

Times:

  • Friday: 6PM to 8PM

  • Saturday: 3PM to 7PM

  • Sunday: 2PM to 5PM

From comedy and cabaret to street performances and everything in-between, the Carers Lounge helps ensure that:

  • Taking a break doesn’t mean leaving the experience

  • Accessibility is built into the festival, not added as an afterthought

  • Carers, people with disability, and families feel genuinely welcomed

Sometimes, a small pause is what makes the whole experience possible.

Thank you for continuing to support initiatives that help make Australia's events more accessible and inclusive every year.

We can't wait to welcome you to the SACARE Carers Lounge this Fringe season.
