Small things make a huge difference…

Happy New Year! I hope wherever you were, regardless of whether you were fortunate to have had time off, you enjoyed some joyful time with your family and friends during Christmas and New Years.

This is something that has been a big focus for everyone at sacare. During the holiday period, many of our staff supported our clients to connect and communicate with their loved ones. It is one of the most precious gifts we could give to our clients.

While we care for people with highly complex needs, and support them as they overcome enormous challenges, we know it’s often the small things that can make a huge difference to their lives. Maintaining relationships with loved ones is, perhaps, something that many of us take for granted, but for some it’s not a simple task and we were honoured to help make this happen for many of our community.

Just before Christmas, we welcomed a number of new residents from various acute care facilities to sacare properties, including our newest at Salisbury, The Gums. Although it is already operational, we will officially open this wonderful facility shortly.

I know that our new residents, like those who have been with us for some time, will reap the benefits of our world-class facilities and the extraordinary care our team provide them, and begin to enjoy positive change in their lives.

The Gums sets a new standard in care for people living with disability and we are enormously proud of it. I encourage you to head to our website or download our The Gums brochure to learn more about it. The Gums Brochure October 2018

To help us kick off the year, we have expanded our highly successful THRIVE Program, with more participants and more team members to support them. This is an outstanding program, designed for people living with disability who are determined to set and achieve meaningful goals. If you don’t know about THRIVE, you can learn more about it here. https://www.sacare.com.au/thrive

We highly value our industry partnerships, which help to ensure we remain at the forefront of technology, medical and service provision advancements– something that is incredibly important to us. If you have an idea for collaboration with SACARE, please get in contact with me or any of our team.We would love to hear from you.

On behalf of everyone at sacare, I wish you a happy, healthy and successful 2019.Whatever your goals, regardless of how big or small, if sacare
can help fulfill them, we will.
