Please see below sacare's latest COVID-19 protocols for our accommodation and services effective midnight Friday 27/11/2020

The SA Health Contact Tracing page has been updated with new locations, see here.

Advice from SAPOL 26/11/20:

The SA Government has released updated COVID-19 advice due to the Parafield cluster. Please note the following are recommended but do not form part of a formal directive at this point in time.

➡️ South Australian residents should work from home where possible.

➡️ Vulnerable people are advised to stay at home and avoid having visitors at the moment.

➡️ Unnecessary travel is discouraged.

➡️ South Australian residents should wear a mask when physical distancing of 1.5m cannot be observed, e.g. on public transport, supermarkets, shopping centers.

sacare's Accommodation and Service Updates:

  • Clients within all accommodation sites can have a maximum of 2 visitors a day.  All visitors must complete the COVID-19 questionnaire and a temperature check.
  • THRIVE and Allied health Services may continue at all accommodations and within the community. However, all staff, including external allied health providers must comply with infection control measures including temperature checks, hand hygiene and wearing a mask before providing therapy services to the client.
  • All accommodation and community support workers will continue to wear masks when attending personal care. Please note that the use of cloth masks is not recommended by SACARE  for use during personal care and staff are to utilise the medical masks provided. Click here for more information on cloth masks.
  • Minimise community outings where possible for vulnerable clients. Masks to be worn in areas where physical distancing is not possible if an outing cannot be avoided.

There may be exceptions made to the above in some cases. Please contact Klade Thomas (0481 772 498 or klade.thomas@sacare.com.au) if you require support in these circumstances.

These measures will be reviewed within a week from today or as otherwise indicated by the relevant government health body.
