The South Australian Government has introduced the COVID Safe Check-In for all residential health care facilities. All staff and visitors entering a SACARE site must download the mySA GOV app and check in EVERY time they enter a site. Each site has a unique QR code which will be on display at reception/entry points. COVID Marshalls will be available to assist with check in.

See below for further information on downloading and using the app.

Face Masks Essential

From 12.01 am 1 December 2020, all people in health care settings must wear a single-use surgical mask (covering mouth and nose) at all times when in the physical presence of other people on the premises.

All people includes:

  • care providers
  • patients
  • clients
  • residents
  • administrative and other staff
  • employees
  • visitors
  • students
  • contractors
  • any other person on the premises

There are exceptions for mandatory mask use in health care settings. The definition of a health care setting includes GP clinics, public and private hospitals and specialist practices (including drug and alcohol facilities), pharmacies, allied health services, dental services and Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services.
